Love this place. Skateboarding brings me to Long Beach often, after a full day of that you'll probably find me at Blacks. It's a Low key dive bar with pizza, beer and fair prices, plays classic movies (and sports), good music, Some bar games to play and a Photo Booth. It's a fool proof combo with fair prices. Also shout out to Chuck! a quality human behind the bar.

Love the vibe of this place! I came during the dodgers game on a Friday night and everyone was lit! Afterwards, the DJ setup and played a great mixture of music from 80s to new hits. The pizza was EXTREMELY good for a bar, and the drinks were great and reasonably priced. Will return for sure.

Great service, low-key vibe, and really underrated pizza. Music at Black can be hit or miss with some nights hosting DJ's that don't really seem to bring a whole lot to the dancefloor, but the drinks here are fantastic and the staff is super friendly. A must-stop if you're out late on Broadway.

if you want a bar, but also want food, this is one of the better options in the area. Tasty pizza, affordable drinks.

Cool energy! Fun hangout. Relaxed but loud music still. Pool. Pizza. Pride. Parking is a bit sparse, but around the block in residential on the one way we found a few open spaces.

Black is cool fun bar to check out. It's in a cool neighborhood in Long Beach with lots to explore. Anyways, Black itself is a cool hipstery bar with really good pizza, good selection of beer and nice specialty cocktails. There is plenty of seating for you and all your friends, and things to do like check out the photo booth, play some pool, and plenty of room. Their happy hour has drink deals as well as discounts on personal pizzas. There's no better combo than a pint and a personal pizza. Bartenders are cool and friendly, exactly what you would expect from a place like this. I'd definitely be back to grab a drink. Or have some pizza.

Vegan pizza is amazing . You wouldn't think you would find good pizza here, this lil hole in the wall. But it's really good tho!!

Black is one of my new go to casual bars. I love love love that they have food - sometimes I come here *just* for the pizza. All of the pizzas have a decent wait time but I believe that they make them fresh fresh! Because my goooodddd the thin pizza with a fluffy crust coming out PIPING hot is amazing. Those cheese pulls are so satisfying. I've also been on the lookout for a bar around DTLB that has midori and this bar carries it for anyone looking for a midori sour! Otherwise a drink I recommend is their lavender drink if you are open to floral notes. The drink is so delicious and light, it's definitely a favorite for me! The waitresses are nice but there's been a couple times when the dude bartenders are a bit stand off-ish, impatient, and kind of cold. I get that working in this type of environment can get crazy so I didn't mind it too much, but maybe something to consider or be aware of so that you're not put off by it.

#ThankYouThursday for being a cozy neighborhood bar place and serving our Long Beach community! It's a cute place for a date night! It's got dive bar vibes, but it's also got candles and can pass as a cool/casual/hipster-y place with their cocktail and food menu. Came in the other day and was greeted enthusiastically by the staff and the owner. Their cocktail menu looked nice, although I don't drink alcohol so they graciously made me a hibiscus and ginger mocktail which was delicious! The owner passionately recommended the vegan pizza they had on special which is what we ordered. It was good and felt healthy, the vegan cheese was creamy and high quality and it was loaded with vegetables. It's definitely more of a dine-in place with the prices, good place to enjoy a date or connect with a friend in a cool environment. They also have a pool table and are known to do events. Definitely recommend if you enjoy thin crust pizza and cocktails!
